 .: The "Ustica Mystery" On the evening of June 27, 1980, the DC 9-15 of the Italian private airline “ITAVIA”, markings I-TIGI, on the Bologna-Palermo route, unexpectedly disappeared from the ATC Italian radar screen in the middle of the Tyrrhenian Sea, at 39°43’ N; 13°20’ E, just south of the Ponza Island. After desperate ATC communication with no reply, the horrible reality was clear: the jet exploded un mid-air. Martinelli is working on the “Ustica Mistery”, in order to create a screenplay for an International movie. < back |
